Driver slightly hurt in bush crash

Injured driver being taken to SGH for further medical attention after being helped out of the car.

KUCHING: A driver suffered minor injuries after his car skidded and crashed into the bushes along Jalan Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui this afternoon (July 23).

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call at around 3.50 pm.

Firemen from Padungan station quickly responded and went to the scene.

When they arrived, they found that the driver’s Perodua Myvi had crashed into the bushes by the roadside.

The team helped the driver, who was complaining of chest pains, out of the vehicle using a stretcher.

After that, they handed him over to the Batu Lintang Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit, which took him to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.

Once the area was safe, the team completed their operation and returned to their station.
