KUCHING: Malaysian Produc-tivity Corporation (MPC) Board of Directors member Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg officiated the IN 101 Programme: Effective Communication for Business Excellence yesterday.

Held at the Riverside Majestic Hotel, the one day event aimed to establish more outstanding bodies in the state.

Earlier in his opening remark, he stressed effective communication is an important component for organisations, either public or private, in order for them to be an outstanding company.

“In this era, communication can be delivered in many ways such as using the technology,” he said, adding information would be much easier to deliver if workers utilised the existing technology in their coampanies.

Abang Abdul Karim also called on more organisations in the state to participate in excellence trips organised by Sarawak MPC.

“An excellent organisation does not only refer to financial performance but excellence in all aspects including employees, environment and community.

“Among the organisational indicators having the excellent employees include high employee productivity, low resignation rates and the ability to retain and attract highly skilled workers,” he added.
