KUCHING: Generation Z (Gen Z) has been praised by Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah for leading the way in digital economy involvement, and Gen Zs should be emulated by other generations of society.

The Sarawak Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister also noted the Gen Z’s dedication and focus in achieving set goals.

“This is something that I believe every generation should emulate.

“It is essential for everyone, regardless of age, to get up and generate income in order to have a better living, particularly in light of the Covid-19 pandemic,” she remarked when officiating at the opening of Chegu Aiman Gadget (CAG) store at Metrocity here on Friday (Oct 15).

Fatimah disclosed that she had known Aiman since he was little and she believed that he had made the right choice by capitalising on the current trend.

“It is great that, in addition to seeing the business as an opportunity, he also offers smartphones at an affordable price.

“The business market provides a wide range of opportunities, and the business he chose to begin with, is perfectly suited to the current market needs.

“Gadgets such as smartphones, have played an increasingly important part in our daily lives as we carry them with us every day and night, and we may even feel incomplete without them.”

Fatimah also emphasised that if a person was focused and determined, as well as having the support of his or her family, he or she could achieve success.
