KUCHING: Andy Yek, an ambitious Sarawakian entrepreneur and the Chairman/CEO of Gucini Sdn Bhd, is driven by a powerful vision—to create something extraordinary that enhances everyday life.

Yek expressed that his journey from modest origins in the construction sector to establishing Gucini, a brand specialising in sanitary ware, kitchenware, and home improvement products, has served as his guiding principle, a beacon of hope and a constant wellspring of inspiration.

He said this during a sharing session held at Hilton Hotel yesterday (Apr 13).

“Driven by this vision, I started on a quest to create a brand that embodies the essence of modern living—a brand that combines luxury with accessibility and style with affordability. Gucini, with its innovative designs and quality craftsmanship, stands as proof of this vision—a vision rooted in the belief that greatness is not a destination but a journey.

“But our quest for excellence did not end there. It was in collaboration with esteemed partners like Gian Luca Meloda, our esteemed Italian design advisor, international director, and product ambassador, that Gucini found the pieces to complete its puzzle.

“Luca’s expertise, rooted in Italian standard, became integral to Gucini’s journey towards greatness,” he said.

He said Gucini’s vision extends beyond products to encompass a mission of expanding into new territories, particularly the dynamic markets of Asia.

“At Gucini, we are also committed to environmental sustainability, embodied in our Eco-friendly Solutions.

“This commitment drives our production strategies, prioritising eco-friendliness and green living at every turn. From faucets crafted from safe materials to production powered by solar energy, Gucini leads the charge towards a greener, more sustainable future,” he added.

In envisioning the future of Gucini, Yek sees boundless possibilities and endless horizons. Over the next 5 to 10 years, their aspiration is to expand the brand’s footprint all over Asia. The entrepreneur also won the ‘Hennessy X.O Circle Of Excellence’ accolade for outstanding leadership among peers across Malaysia in 2022.
