DALAT: Dalat Assemblywoman Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah has generously donated RM51,000 to cover the utility bills of nine mosques and twelve suraus in her constituency during the holy month of Ramadan.

The personal donation was specifically allocated to cover the cost of electricity and water bills. Each of the nine mosques received RM3,000, while each of the twelve suraus received RM2,000.

In addition to her personal donation, Fatimah Abdullah also distributed ‘zakat’ to 518 recipients over two days.

On April 5th, RM28,600 in ‘zakat’ was given to 286 individuals, and on April 9th, RM23,200 was distributed to 232 individuals.

At a recent event, Fatimah, who is also the Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development Minister, handed over a total of RM51,800 in ‘zakat’ to the recipients’ representative. She emphasised the importance of giving back to the community, and the event was a true reflection of the spirit of Ramadan.

This donation is hoped to alleviate some of the financial burden faced by the recipients during this challenging time.
