KUCHING: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Minister, Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah launched “Program Sayang Sarawak, Ibu Pertiwiku” yesterday at Vivacity Megamall here.
The programme, which targets the young people as well as the technocrats, is specially designed to promote unity in diversity. It also aims to promote patriotism. The programme includes a photography contest (still photo) and a short video making contest.
To encourage participation as well as to give opportunity to more participants to win prizes, each competition will be divided into three categories, namely, Secondary School Category (Form One – Matriculation), IPTA/IPTS, IPG, Pusat Pembelajaran Lanjutan Category and Open Category. For the Video Category, the first prize winner will receive RM3,500 cash plus gadget vouchers while the second prize winner will go home with RM2,500 cash plus gadget vouchers and the third prize winner RM2,000 plus gadget vouchers.
There are 15 consolation prizes of RM300 cash plus gadget vouchers each. For the Photography Category, the first prize winner will receive RM2,500 cash plus gadget vouchers while the second prize winner will go home with RM2,000 cash plus gadget vouchers and third winner RM1,500 cash plus gadget vouchers.
There are15 consolation prizes of RM150 cash plus gadget vouchers. At the launching yesterday, Fatimah also distributed the contest buntings to representatives from the various Resident Offices.
