KUCHING: A 43 -year-old man was fined RM2,700 and jailed four months by the Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (Nov 3).
The man was sentenced by the court for taking amphetamine and methamphetamine last August.
Rajah Chung Kong Fatt, 43, pleaded guilty after the charge was read by an interpreter before Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali.
The court also ordered the accused to be under supervision for two years after serving his sentence.
The man was alleged to have committed the act at the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department office around 3.45am on August 14.
Prosecuting Officer Inspector Mohd Azdmei Ahmad asked the court to impose a heavy sentence on the accused as a lesson.
