MIRI: A family of four here were left homeless in a fire yesterday (Feb 13).
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 6 fire investigation division head Awangku Mohd Hazmin Awang Zainal said that as soon as they received a distress call at 5.57 pm, seven firefighters were despatched from Miri Sentral to the scene.
When the firemen reached the scene, they found the house razed. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
The firefighters completed their tasks at 7.52 pm.
A temporary accommodation for the victims has been arranged by the Miri Welfare Department.
