SIMUNJAN: A family of five was rendered homeless after their house in Kampung Pantong Melayu here was gutted by a fire on Saturday (May 22).
A spokesperson from the state Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said an emergency call on the incident was received at 4.25 pm.
Upon firemen’s arrival, the house was already destroyed.
No casualties were reported as all members of the family managed to get out to safety when the fire occurred.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are yet to be ascertained.
