MIRI: Family members of the fire victim at Kampung Masjid Kuala Baram received a donation of electrical items and clothing.

The donation was from the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Piasau Utara Women subbranch committee where chairperson Haminah Sairol and the exco visited the family’s home on Wednesday (April 20).

“Even though it is a small help for the family, we hope it will ease their burden,” she said.

She said the committee felt sad to hear of the tragic incident and promptly came up with the assistance.

“We hope the family will not be hampered by the sudden losses, but strive to continue with their daily life,” she added.

In the incident on April 12, a 12-year-old boy perished in the fire at a house in Kampung Masjid, Kuala Baram.

Twenty-two firefighters from Lopeng and Miri fire stations were deployed to the scene. The fire destroyed a small house.
