MIRI: An Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) was deployed to Marina Bay on Tuesday night to help firemen from Lopeng fire station to remove a hornet nest which was spotted on a tree earlier that evening.
The nest was spotted by one of the area’s security guards, who later informed the firemen at around 8.30 pm.
Upon their arrival at the scene, firemen found the nest on a tree at about 50 feet off the ground. Using the ALP to reach the nest, they torched it before removing it cautiously.
The operation to remove the nest took about 30 minutes.
