MIRI :The remains of a fisherman, who went missing during a fishing trip near Kuala Sibuti last Tuesday, have been found. The remains were found by a group of local fishermen from Piasau Utara at around 5.40pm on Saturday (July 28) near Siwak, about 11.7 nautical miles from Kuala Miri.

Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief, Supt Law Poh Kiong said in a statement late Saturday, the remains of the 59- year-old Ebrahim Yaman, were brought back to the Marina Jetty at around 8.35pm.

The remains were handed over to the police for further action and the SAR operation officially ended. Ebrahim was reported missing on Tuesday evening after he had failed to return home from a fishing trip. His fishing boat was found on the Kuala Sibuti beach that day.
