SERIAN: Five individuals, including two toddlers, narrowly averted a potentially fatal two-vehicle collision along Jalan Sri Aman-Serian yesterday (Dec 19)

The incident near Kampung Ensebang around 3.55 pm involved a Toyota Hilux and a Yamaha motorcycle.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Serian station were promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call.

According to initial findings, the collision unfolded when the pick-up truck, carrying a family of four, lost control, presumably due to a puddle on the road which resulted in the Hilux colliding with a motorcycle sheltered at a nearby bus stop.

The family in the Hilux, aged between one and 32, was taken to Serian Hospital by ambulance for medical examination.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old motorcyclist emerged unscathed from the collision.
