KUCHING: Heavy downpour since early this morning led to flash floods to areas like Batu Kawa and Petrajaya here, making it difficult for vehicles to pass through.
The places impacted by the flash floods include Taman Murni, Kampung Sinar Budi Baru, Jalan Stakan, Mile 7, Semerah Padi and Jalan Bunga Rampai.
Some vehicles had difficulty passing through their residential areas due to the flooding.
Several residents in Taman Murni, Petra Jaya were also affected by the flood where the water has risen to waist-deep levels.
Rising water levels were also seen in Metrocity Matang, making it difficult for vehicles to pass through.
At the time of writing, the rain has slowed down; however, continuous rain is expected to occur much later in the afternoon.
Another area that was also affected by the heavy downpour is Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
