KUCHING: The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Sarawak has expressed its intention to continue collaborating with the Sarawak government to intensify efforts aimed at boosting the industry.

FMM Sarawak chairman Datuk Seri Victor Hii Lu Thian noted the commitment to providing relevant skill training to support the industry’s demand and needs in the state, aligning with Sarawak’s progress and development.

“As the chairman, we always aim to work closely with the Sarawak government, particularly our Premier and other local authorities, addressing the industry’s current and future needs, including necessary skills training for development.”

He made these remarks during a media interaction following a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Thursday (Jan 25).

Hii shared that discussions also included raising industrial challenges, with hopes of resolving them with guidance from the Premier to propel the industry to new heights.

The courtesy call, an annual visit by FMM representatives, serves to update the Premier on the progress and efforts undertaken by FMM and industry players.
