Four religious associations in Simanggang get Unifor grants

Date:

SIMANGGANG: Four religious associations here received grants of RM15,000 each from the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) on Wednesday (Nov 24).

The funds were handed over to the Simanggang Soon Heng Society, Persatuan Penganut Ci Ji Sri Aman, Batang Lupar Buddhist Society and Sri Aman Buddhist Association.

Simanggang incumbent Datuk Francis Harden Hollis visited each of the associations to present the cheques.

He hoped that the money would be put to good use by the recipients.

He also hoped that the funds could alleviate the financial burden of the houses of worship that were unable to collect donations from their respective congregations due to the movement restrictions to curb Covid-19.
