MIRI: BookBear Service provides free book delivery for state library members in areas within a 20-kilometre radius of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak Miri.
Through the BookBear Service, which was launched during the COVID-19 Controlled Movement Order (MCO), Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri provided its users with a value-added book lending service a little over two years ago.
It said, in a statement today, that the service was provided specifically for library users who wished to borrow books from the library at that time as the library was closed.
Users can choose whether to get the library materials from the library delivered to their addresses or they can pick up themselves from the library.
Members of the library will have to install the “Angka.sa2” application from the Google Play Store or Appstore and later WhatsApp their chosen books to Pustaka Miri at 01158820533.
The BookBear Service is available Monday until Saturday, from 8am to 5pm, and any request made after the specified time will be forwarded and processed the next day.
