KUCHING: Homeless persons who are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccination are not left out from the inoculation programme.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah has taken the initiative to identify 121 homeless persons throughout the state for vaccination from Aug 5 onwards.

Thus far, 87 of the homeless persons have received their first dose of the vaccine and were delighted to be protected from the virus.

To them, it is a blessing to be able to obtain any sort of medication or vaccine for free.

New Sarawak Tribune has met with a few homeless persons for their views on those who are eligible for vaccination but refused to be jabbed.

I have always wanted to get myself jabbed because this virus is rather deadly to those who are not vaccinated. I would like to advise those who refused to get themselves inoculated to start changing their minds and get the vaccine when opportunity comes.

Being vaccinated does not hurt at all and I feel perfectly fine after getting my jab. Thus, I would advise those who are eligible to get themselves jabbed as soon as possible. It did not kill me, so it will not kill them as well.

Thank God, after being vaccinated, I feel fine and it did not hurt one bit. I hope that those who are eligible for the vaccine will not hesitate to get themselves jabbed. In these hard times, it is better to be vaccinated rather than not because we need the protection from this deadly virus.

I feel fine after getting my jab. I believe that there is no harm in getting vaccinated. To those who have yet to be inoculated, I hope they do it soon. Please get yourself jabbed for your own and others’ safety.
