SIBU: Two government employees, along with two others, have been remanded for three days, commencing today, on suspicion of cheating and document forgery.

According to a source, the suspects, three men and a woman aged between 29 and 42, are accused of forging documents to facilitate the withdrawal of unclaimed funds amounting to RM175,000.

Three of the suspects, including the female, were apprehended by the police today, while the fourth suspect was arrested yesterday (Apr 14).

Magistrate Romario Jonoi granted the application for remand, ordering all four suspects to remain in custody.

The case is under investigation under Section 420/471 of the Penal Code.
