LIMBANG: A grocery shop located on the ground floor of a shophouse here was destroyed by fire yesterday morning.
Limbang Fire chief, Tawang Lingem said they received an emergency call at 10.30am and dispatched 17 personnel with five vehicles to the scene.
He said 80 per cent of the grocery shop was destroyed by fire. He also said the firefighters managed to bring the fire under control and prevented it from spreading to other section of the building. He added that the operation ended at 12.05pm.
Tawang said no casualty was reported and they had not received any information about the cause of the fire as well as the estimated loss.
