KUCHING: An Indonesian man was rescued from a 10-foot-deep drain after being spotted lying motionless in it at Jalan Wan Alwi yesterday (Jan 15).

The Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching reported receiving a distress call around 1.10 pm about the incident near an apartment.

Residents of a nearby apartment noticed what appeared to be a man lying motionless in the drain, which led to the deployment of a response team to the scene.

Friends help clean and provide food for the man after being rescued.

Upon their arrival, the team successfully helped the man out of the drain and collected information from him.

Although the man did not sustain any injuries, he reported suffering from heartburn.

After the operation, his employer took him to a health facility for further treatment.
