KUCHING: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall expected in Kapit.
The warning is in effect for Song, Kapit, and Bukit Mabong until 5 pm today (Jun 15).
This warning was issued due to clear signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour, persisting for an hour or more.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term advisory that remains valid for a maximum of six hours for a specific locality.
