KUCHING: The Jagoi Heritage Trail Run 2022 will be held on Aug 28 for the third edition, showcasing Bung Jagoi’s beautiful nature to trail runners.
Grit Event Management in collaboration with Jagoi Area Development Committee (JADC) will organise it, the first and only race on Asia Trail Master Calendar and UTMB Index Race in Sarawak.
Spanning across six different Bidayuh villages in Bau region, it has attracted runners from all over the world for all the editions due to its challenging yet fascinating course profile.
A statement issued here yesterday said there are various categories for runners to enter with attractive cash reward and sporting goods valued up to RM25,000.
The top five finishers in the 50 km men’s and women’s open and veteran races, top ten finishers in the 20 km men’s and women’s open and veteran races, and top three finishers in the 6 km men’s and women’s open races will get their prizes, respectively.
The route provides the runners with a mixture of breath-taking mountainous scenery, while building up experience for more challenging races in the future.
In addition to the race, it also includes festivities where sponsors such as T8 and Kailas will showcase their wares for nearby runners to try out and choose from.
