KUCHING: Hope Place marks its 10th year with the “Colors of Hope” workshop, held last weekend.

Hope Place’s president Chong Hai Eng thanked donors, volunteers, and supporters.

“Celebrating ten years, we’re grateful for the big changes we’ve made together. Our goal? Making a difference that lasts,” she said in a statement today (Sept 4).

The workshop aimed to spark creativity in underprivileged families, especially children, with art activities.

Tutufun Studio and Pure Space supplied the art materials and mentored the kids while La Promenande Mall in Samarahan provided the venue.

At the workshop, 40 children, ages 3 to 17, and their families took part. They painted vibrant canvases, showcasing scenes like calm countrysides and popular characters such as Upin & Ipin and Mickey Mouse.

Besides painting, there were stations for making “fluid bear” keychains and thank you cards.

Earlier, Hope Place visited Sarawak General Hospital and hosted teambuilding events at Taman Sri Puteri.
