KUCHING: Housebuyers at  Borneo Samariang Garden are grateful to the Sarawak government for its steadfast commitment to completing the project.

Representative of the Joint Action Committee for buyers of the single-storey terrace houses in B23 (Phase 5), Mohd Zulfika Abdolkader, attributed the achievement to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s determination to address the matter.

He described the resolution of problems which affected the project as a significant victory for them.

“The dedication demonstrated by JBPF5 members is pivotal to our considerable success today.

“All decisions and pressures applied by the committee were collectively made and executed with maturity and professionalism.

“This was grounded in facts, despite the initial perception that the problem appeared insurmountable,” he said in a present statement on Nov 15.

He also said that about 700 buyers of Phase 7 houses are still unaware of the status of their homes.

The committee expressed hope that the Sarawak government, with the involvement of pertinent agencies and ministries, will demonstrate a strong commitment to addressing this challenge.
