KUCHING: A group of 62 students and 12 lecturers from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality at i-CATS University College visited Rumah Amal Nur Murni as part of its Berkah Ramadhan program.

According to the faculty’s dean, Ellderea Grace, this is an annual program that takes place during the month of Ramadhan. The program’s objective is to strengthen the friendly relationship between the faculty members and Rumah Nur Amal Murni, a home for orphans and asnaf.

Grace added that the program was also a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative that would benefit everyone involved and ease the burden of the charity home’s residents.

Furthermore, the program provided students with the opportunity to gain learning experience outside of their lectures. The activities involved folding napkins, cooking meals and colouring activities with the orphans.
