Underlining the importance of the marriage registration document as a crucial legal document protecting women’s rights, he pointed out that the assistant marriage registrar’s primary task is to issue official legal marriage certificates entrusted by the government.

“At the same time, he plays the role of a counselor, conveying necessary information to newlyweds so they can understand their responsibilities and problems after marriage. Moreover, we also provide pre-marriage counseling to help both parties coordinate their marriage journey to create a harmonious society between the sexes. Marriage requires two people to work together for a lifetime,” Yiiong added.
