KUCHING: Junior Chambers International (JCI) Damai marked its 35th anniversary with a gala dinner here recently.

The dinner was graced by the presence of Kuching South City Council mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng, representing Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Wee commended Dr Sim for his unwavering commitment to uplifting communities and advocating for societal progress.

“We firmly believe that service to humanity is the noblest pursuit in life, and Dr Sim’s consistent support for our activities serves as an encouragement to persevere,” Wee stated.

He stressed that the 35-year celebration was not the end of the journey. With the backing of local leaders, communities, and JCI, JCI Damai was determined to continue making a positive impact on society through projects and collaborative initiatives, Wee added.

JCI Damai recently inked a friendship pact with JCI Entrepreneur, signifying a momentous occasion for both organisations in fostering collaborative endeavours and magnifying their impact.
