The four suspects, aged from 22 to 31 years old, were detained by Miri Narcotic Criminal Investigation department (NCID) during a raid held on Sunday at a Quadruplex unit in Bandar Baru Permyjaya around 9.20pm.

During the raid, police seized illegal substances believed to be syabu weighing 17g and valued at around RM2,720, revealed Sarawak NCID head Supt Hasnir Abdul Hamid.

“Three of the suspects are being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, while the fourth under Section 15(1) of the same Act,” he said yesterday.

During the raid, one of the suspects, aged 31 years old, handed over a tin of breath freshener to the cops.

Inside the tin were six transparent plastic packets containing crystal suspected to be syabu.

“All suspects are currently being detained at Miri Narcotic Crime Investigation department (NCID) for questioning,” said Supt Hasnir.
