JOHOR BAHRU: The Johor government will ensure that the teenage boy involved in the road crash that killed his parents and four siblings gets the best treatment at Segamat Hospital.
State Health and Unity Committee chairman Ling Tian Soon said Abdullah Amir Ruddin, 15, who is severely injured, is still in the intensive care unit (ICU) and is in stable condition.
“Abdullah is still being monitored by the medical team and remains in the ICU.
“The state government will provide assistance in every aspect, including medical expenses. We will also ensure that he receives the best possible care,” he told Bernama when asked for an update on the teenager’s condition.
He was met after officiating the handover ceremony of Voluntary Patrol Scheme (SRS) patrol equipment and Rahmah Aid in Taman Bukit Kempas here last night.
Ling also urged the public, especially the boy’s relatives, to provide support for his eldest brother Abdul Rahman, 19.
The tragic accident at Kilometre 5, Jalan Segamat-Kuantan, on Sept 1 claimed the lives of the victim’s parents, Amir Ruddin Ismail, 46, and Norahimah Noor Muhammad, 43.
The victim’s four other siblings, Fatimatulzahrah, 17, Seri Khadijah Aqilah, 13, Rufaidatul Asyariyah, 10, and Muhammad Assyakrawi, 5, also perished after the Perodua Alza they were riding in collided with a lorry. – BERNAMA
