ROBAN: Sports infrastructure has always been included in Kalaka state constituency’s development plans, especially through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP), even under Betong Divisional Development Agency (BDDA).

“We hear the aspirations of young people who always voice such things and I don’t deny that we still need more focus.

“The provision of sports infrastructure has been given attention since time immemorial, and now I, as a representative of the people, also put it as a priority.

“We (Sarawak government) are doing the best for young people, so that they, particularly in Kalaka, do not fall behind in terms of development,” said Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri.

He said this after inspecting the sepak takraw court project in Kampung Melayu Roban together with Kalaka PBB deputy chief Kasdi Pandi on today (Jan 16).

Along with the development of sports infrastructure, he explained that he was also committed to socioeconomic development.

“The government has many economic improvement programmes that young people should grab in addition to those organised at various levels.

“Therefore, seize as many opportunities as possible to ensure that you (youths) are able to have a good socioeconomic standing.”
