Karuna Sarawak receives MTC Gold Award

KUCHING: On October 22 which was Saturday, Karuna Sarawak was invited to the Malaysia Tourism Council Gold Awards at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here.

This event was organised by the Malaysia Tourism Council (MTC) with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP) where multiple players from various industries all over Malaysia were presented awards for their excellence and contribution in transforming and driving the tourism industry throughout the last few years during the pandemic.

Known as a creative digital agency which started in Sarawak, Karuna is delighted to have been nominated for the Gold Award of Specialised E-Commerce & Digital Services (East Malaysia).

Its chief executive officer, Melvin Ong said that Malaysia Tourism Council Gold Awards has paved the way for organisations to network and explore new opportunities in the state.

“We would like to thank Malaysia Tourism Council for giving us the award. We hope that by winning this award, we will continue to inspire industry players that Sarawak can be the best in every industry especially in the IT industry.

“We hope to continue delivering Digital Technology to drive growth, productivity, and success for our partners,” he said.

Karuna has been providing website and digital marketing solutions for the tourism industry as part of supporting Digital Agency for the Sarawak Tourism Online Ecosystem Fund, Rainforest World Music Festival 2022 and in promoting Niah National Park to be one of the UNESCO World Heritage in Malaysia for Sarawak Forestry.
