Kenyalang Gold Card free registration on Oct 7

KUCHING: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party’s (SUPP) Satok and Pending branches will jointly organise a Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) free registration at St.Faith’s Kindergarten on Oct 7.

In a press statement they said registration is free and opening hours will be from 8.30am until 12.30 pm and that it is held in conjunction with St. Faith’s Church Tamu from 7am to 12pm on the same day.

“The kindergarten is located at Jalan Chawan in Kenyalang Park and senior citizens who are 60 and above, with ‘K’ identity card or who hold Sarawak permanent residence are eligible to apply for the KGC,” the statement said.

KGC holders enjoy various rebates and discounts on daily essentials from their strategic partners across Sarawak’s districts.

Discounted essentials include food, groceries, health services, optical services, transportation, and retail and KGC holders are also entitled to Death Compassionate Assistance of RM3,000.

“The benefit is only applicable to cardholders who are not government pensioners and Social Security Organisation (Socso) contributors and who are not receiving similar help from any department or agency,” the statement added.
