KKB raises RM100,000 for charity causes

KUCHING: KKB Engineering Berhad (KKB) is committed to contributing and helping the needy under its corporate social responsibility programme.

According to Kho Pok Tong, the executive director of the KKB group, in conjunction with the company’s 60th anniversary, they have organised a series of events such as badminton matches, a charity fun run, and a CSR food sale in collaboration with Persatuan Bagi Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal Sarawak (PERKATA).

He said that RM100,000 was raised by 600 management and staff for the events which was donated to 10 charity bodies and PERKATA.

He said this on Saturday (Sept 10) during the TeleMatch closing ceremony, which was attended by the company’s subsidiaries, OceanMight Sdn Bhd, Harum Bidang Sdn Bhd, and KKB Engineering Berhad, at KKB Engineering Berhad on Jalan Muara Tebas.

According to founder and group managing director of KKB Engineering Datuk Seri Kho Kak Beng, this is also the first time the company has organised such activities for employees, in addition to other CSR and charity events in recent months.

On hand to close the event and present the prizes to the winner was Natural Resources And Environment Board Sarawak Deputy Minister Hazland Abang Hipni.

Also present during the event was Kuching North City hall (DBKU) Mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan, KKB Group financial officer Bibiana Diwek, chief operating of OceanMight Mohd Ashraf Assai and also Construction Senior Manager Chin Kueh Kueh.
