KUCHING: Kuching Love Book Association handed over 60 goody bags to councillor Shankar Ram Pohumall Asnani at the lobby of Kuching South City Council (MBKS) here yesterday.
The Deepavali goody bags were given to the Sri Srinivasagar Kaliamman Temple, Jalan Ban Hock.
MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng later attended the MBKS Deepavali do organised for MBKS’ Hindu staff.
“I would like to wish our Hindu staff, grassroots leaders, residents and friends a ‘Happy Deepavali’.”
He added that the event was organised to show that MBKS appreciated their hard work and dedication.
