SIBU: A lantern exhibition organised by Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Pasar Teku will be held from Feb 3, 2019 until March 8, 2019 at Sibu Town Square from 5pm till 11pm.
According to the Sibu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI), the purpose of the event is to work together with the government to promote Sibu’s tourism.
Seeing as it will also be Chinese New Year, the organisers wanted the public to experience a special holiday experience in conjunction with the holiday as well as the upcoming Valentine’s Day.
The light-emitting diode (LED) lights model which was built by experts from China will be the main attraction.
Local food outlet operators, both traditional and contemporary, are welcome to rent stalls during this occasion. Trade stalls also available for rent.
There will be various stage performances and entertainment throughout the duration of the event.
