KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sarawak’s economy is on the rise, thanks to its progressive and dynamic leaders.

One such leader is Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is following in the footsteps of former leaders to take the state to greater heights.

“Abang Johari draws inspiration from the late Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Adenan Satem and Head of State Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud,” said Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang in a special briefing at Dewan Suarah Kota Samarahan today (July 30).

The briefing was conducted for 200 residents including tribal and community leaders in the Samarahan District.

According to Idris, the purpose of this briefing was to provide direct information and explanations to grassroots leaders about the Sarawak Government’s initiatives and plans after COVID-19, given the current political situation.

During the briefing, four speakers shared their insights. Premier’s political secretary Dr. Dayang Fifie Datuk Abang Karim spoke about the ‘Initiatives of the Sarawak Government under the Leadership of YAB Premier Sarawak.’ Following her, another political secretary to the Premier Abdul Samat Gany delivered a lecture on the ‘Post-COVID Development Strategy.’
