Lee praises contractor’s speedy work

MIRI: Resurfacing works at the Old Riam Road and Miri Bypass intersection to Pujut have been completed; creating more resilient roads for years to come.

The two projects worth RM700,000 were completed on schedule despite the implementation of movement restrictions to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Minister for Transport Datuk Lee Kim Shin visited the completed projects yesterday (Sept 27) where he applauded the contractor, Endaya Construction Sdn Bhd under the supervision of Miri Road Transport Department (JKR), for completing the two projects on schedule.

“The two projects began construction on August 18 this year, and were completed early September,” said Lee.

Resurfacing works on the one-kilometre Old Riam Road was completed on September 4, while works done on the 0.4km section of Miri Bypass intersection heading towards Pujut was completed on September 5.
