KUCHING: A political observer on Tuesday reminded Sarawakians of the troubled times under 22 months of Pakatan Harapan rule at federal level.

In a press statement Datuk Peter Minos said it was imperative that people do not forget what had transpired as the 15th general election comes closer.

“Calling Sarawak a possible bankrupt state, PH and DAP, in particular, went all out to harass and to bully Sarawak, both in words and deeds all deliberately and purposely done, like a sadist,” he charged.

“Funds for already approved projects all over Sarawak were cut left and right. Even funds for minor projects of RM30,000 and below were taken away.

“PH intended to break Sarawak financially. To ‘gasak’ or finish off Sarawak,” he said.

Minos described it as a deliberate assault on Sarawak and its people to make Sarawakians surrender and submit.

“This explains why Sarawakians had created GPS so as to be free of the tyranny and abuses from PH and, by extension, any Malaya-based political party.

“Without Sarawakians united solidly behind GPS, more hellish stories will be repeated. GPS is the only way of looking after Sarawak, as well as defending and safeguarding it. There is no other way,” he said.
