MUKAH: Local badminton stars Abdul Dzikri and Zufayri Jeffery Lily from Oya Badminton Club (KBO) clinched the Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah Cup 2023 at the N56 Dalat Open Doubles Tournament at Oya Court here today.
The winning pair took home a trophy and RM700 in cash. They secured their win against Mohamad Amirul Fauzi and Eldrine Mitchell Dony from the PASAKA BC team, beating them 21-14 in both sets.
The PASAKA BC team earned second place, receiving a trophy and RM500.
Two teams shared the third spot among the 16 contenders: Mustafa Roslan and Michael Kibeng from Mukah Badminton Club (KBM) and the duo of Muhamad Faizal Kamarudin and Majuhijam Mohamad Musa. Both teams received a trophy and RM200 each.
N56 Dalat branch deputy chief Sait Seman presented the awards on behalf of Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah.
