LUNDU: Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Pehin Sri Adenan couldn’t be prouder of the three award winning entrepreneurs from his constituency than he already is.

The three did the state proud when they received national recognition for their entrepreneurial skills at the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Usahawan Peserta (AKUP) 2021 in Kuala Lumpur recently.

On top of that, it is learnt that Azizul has been invited to sit on the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation (FELCRA) Board as a consultant.

A total of 77 entrepreneurs nationwide participated in event.

The award recipients from the state are Marzuki Simok who won a business grant of RM20,000, Ismail Jibi (RM15,000) and Saini Weng (RM4,000).

“All three of them are from Kampung Stunggang Melayu Baru Lundu. May their success be a catalyst for other successes in the future and at the same time be a platform to promote their products and their personalities at the Sarawak level after gaining national recognition,” said a beaming Azizul in his congratulatory message to them.

He said success did not come easily without effort, aware that each participant had to go through a stringent screening process by the judges.

Award recipient Marzuki said he is confident that Azizul will further develop Tanjung Datu as it has a lot of potentials.

With FELCRA inviting Azizul to sit on the board as a consultant, he said Lundu is poised to be further developed in the near future.

Meanwhile, Ismail Jibi’s wife, Sitihawa Mahri, couldn’t hide her joy at seeing another member in the family winning an entrepreneurial award.

She had previously received the Innovative Entrepreneur Award from MARA for her Kelulut honey livestock products.

Sitihawa said she had received several other business awards or grants before.

“But the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Usahawan Peserta (AKUP) 2021 is different as each winner was given a business grant, a plaque, and a certificate,” she said.
