KUCHING: The frontliners from New Sarawak Tribune (ST) yesterday received freshly prepared meals through an initiative by local e-hailing delivery service brand, Lyfe Delivery.
This initiative, according to its founder Andy, was part of its Community Givesback Campaign: You Are Our Heroes held in conjunction with Labour Day from May 1-7.
“We are targeting to distribute 2,000 packs of free meals daily to all frontliners. This assistance is a small gesture to help our media frontliners.
“Thank you to all reporters and editors who have been working very hard to keep our community informed with updated news during this movement control order (MCO) period,” he said when met at New Sarawak Tribune office here yesterday after delivering the food.
The free meals will also be delivered to the hospital frontliners as well as enforcement personnel on wheels who have been roaming on the streets day and night, just to ensure the citizens are following the restriction rules.
“We will be giving a little bit meals and snacks as our appreciation to all front liners, including hospitals as well as the police and army personnel who are working during the roadblocks,” he added.
