MagnumCares reaches out to 34 selected homes, schools

MagnumCares Sarawak presents the contribution to social welfare homes, homes for disabled people and orphanages in conjunction with CNY.

KUCHING: A total of 34 selected homes and schools with more than 3,000 senior citizens, homes for disabled people and orphanages in Sarawak are to receive and benefit from MagnumCares Chinese New Year (CNY) Programme worth RM81,180.

MagnumCares through its corporate social responsibility festive programme Welfare Homes Outreach presents its contribution donations to welfare homes in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebration.

This is the 39th year of the programme which aims to benefit more than 25,000 senior citizens, disabled people and orphans nationwide.

Started from Jan 7, more than 220 welfare homes and schools were assisted with a total of RM730, 000 worth of festivity contribution, such as donation cheque, Angpow, essential home groceries, and CNY festive goodies.

Magnum’s Group Chief Commercial Officer, Datuk Chan Chee Fai said the group is committed to empower the community through their annual programmes, and by carrying the MagnumCares slogan “For You, With You”.

“We wish to spread kindness and hope to the community, especially during this CNY this season.

“Thus, apart from contributions such as Angpows and home necessities, MagnumCares Home Enhancements Programme (HEP) caters to repair, refurnish and replace faulty essential items to ensure the residents are staying in a comfortable, safe and sustainable environment throughout the year,” said Chan.
