SERIAN: A man who went missing near the Serian-Tebedu road was safely found thanks to the efforts of the Serian Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).

In a statement, 42-year-old Renaild Jalis Inslem had left his house without telling anyone where he was going.

He had with him a shotgun that belonged to his father-in-law.

Villagers initially tried to find him, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

They reported him missing to the police at 12.55am.

At 8.55am today (Sept 8), the Tebakang police station informed Bomba about the disappearance of Renaild.

A Search and Rescue (SAR) operation was launched, involving the Civil Defence Force (APM), Royal Malaysia Police, Rela, and Bomba.

Experts trained in K9 search techniques also joined the search.

Eventually, villagers found Renaild in a plantation, about 800 metres from his house.

Thankfully, Renaild was discovered in good health, and there were no signs of injury.
