MARUDI: A 40 year-old man was arrested on Thursday after he made threats to his former employer using a shotgun.
According to Marudi police chief DSP Mohd Ruslan Mat Kib, the suspect was detained on Thursday evening after he allegedly discharged a shotgun during an argument with the complainant inside a logging camp in Long Bedian on July 5.
It was believed that the altercation occurred over salary and the suspect was angry after being dismissed by his former employer.
The suspect has been detained following a report lodged by the victim over the incident.
He is currently being detained at Marudi police station lockup for questioning.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
