KUCHING: A 32-year-old Indonesian labourer who has allegedly been raping his own daughter for the last four years was arrested on Monday morning.
The suspect and his wife brought their daughter,14, to a clinic at Serasot, Bau as she was suffering from flu.
While there, the girl told the medical officer that her own father had been raping her since she was 10 and the last time she was raped was on Sunday.
She added her father would rape her whenever her mother and other family members were not at home.
The victim is the eldest of five siblings. After a report was made, police went to the suspect’s unnumbered house and detained him for questioning.
Meanwhile, the daughter was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a medical check-up. Bau police chief DSP Poge ak Nyaon confirmed the case.
