BINTULU: A local man managed to survive an accident by sustaining injuries after his car crashes into a tree at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi here, today.
A spokesman from the Sarawak Fire Department operations centre said firemen from Bintulu station were despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call around 5.10am.
When the team arrived, they confirmed that the vehicle had collided with a tree by the roadside.
They also found the 25-year-old driver’s leg trapped in the seat.
The victim was successfully extricated by the team using special equipment.
He was then handed over to the ambulance to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.
