KUCHING: Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd will be holding a ‘Wellness Day’ at Dewan Serbagunan SJK Chung Hua Serian on 10 September (Sunday) from 9am until 2pm.
During the ‘Wellness Day’ various activities will be held including 24 Festive drums performance by a group of SJK Chung Hua Serian students, blood donation campaign, children colouring contest organisied by SJK Chung Hua Serian and Pasaraya Sin Joon Miaw. A cooking demonstration by A&A Buffalo Company and Zumba dance performances by Tyng Dance Academy will also be held.
The campaign initiated on 1 January, 2004 is now in its 14th year with the support of the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH)’s Blood Bank as well as various corporations, shopping malls and the media. The event is also held throughout the state.
At this year’s event, Everpro Sdn Bhd will be sponsoring prizes for the lucky draws. Serian District Diabetic Association has invited a special guest speaker, Dr Stephanie Onnasis Ak Pressie to talk on diabetes. Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd will also be setting up a sampling booth where visitors will be able to join its lucky draws, testing Haryana rice or take fun photographs with the company’s mascot Jimmy at a photo booth. The mascot will also be distributing free balloons during the event and also presents from Myfm.
 Meanwhile, every successful blood donor will receive a free 5kg pack of Uncle Tan Premium Rice from Liansin. All are welcome to the event and admission is free of charge.
