KUCHING: In anticipation of the upcoming Hari Gawai celebration, MASWings has announced additional flight options to facilitate the travel of passengers returning home during the peak festive period from May 28 to June 5.

The airline will add additional daily flights from Kuching to Limbang, from Miri to Long Banga, and double the frequency of flights from Miri to Bario during the specified period. The increased flight frequencies include five flights per week from May 28 to June 4 for Kuching to Limbang, five flights per week from May 30 to June 5 for Miri to Long Banga, and 14 flights per week from May 30 to June 5 for Miri to Bario.

According to chief executive officer of airlines from Malaysia Aviation Group, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, this initiative falls under MASWings’ role as the main operator under the Public Services Obligation (PSO) Agreement Plan. He affirmed the airline’s commitment to providing safe, responsible, and efficient rural air services in Sarawak.

Ahmad Luqman urged customers to book their tickets in advance to take advantage of attractive fares and reunite with their loved ones during the festive season.

Passengers can make their bookings through MASWings or Malaysia Airlines ticketing offices, appointed travel agents across Malaysia, or by calling Malaysia Airlines’ call center at 130088300.
