KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Football League (MFL) board of directors will decide on March 15 whether to release the RM1 million grant to Perlis, who have been kicked out of the Malaysia League (M-League) this season.

MFL chief executive officer Kevin Ramalingam said although the decision to sack Perlis from the league was final, they still had to discuss the grant issue at the meeting on March 15.

“The only way for Perlis to  be registered again is to settle  their players’ salary arrears.

“MFL are also looking into six other teams for lesser offences committed while registering for the M-League,” he said after the 2019 FA Cup second-round draw at Empire Gallery, Damansara, on Monday.

Earlier, a member of the MFL board of directors Datuk Yusoff Mahadi said he did not rule out the possibility of Perlis receiving the grant “based on several factors”. – Bernama
